Cartagena de Indias was founded June 1st of 1533 by Don Pedro de Heredia. Almost three centuries later it is named “Cartagena de Indias, La Heroica”; and through the years has received denominations such as El Corralito de Piedra, was declared by UNESCO as Historical and Cultural Heritage of Humankind.

Actually, in Cartagena we enjoy the majestic visible architecture of 11 kilometers of stone walls that surround the downtown and uncountable buildings that give the city the title of the Most Beautiful City of America. Within the city we find from colonial houses to the most modern designs in the main business centers, the city has spaces and environments that make it attractive to tourists and make it the seat of many important events, summits and national and international conventions.
